Belle had come up with the big idea for a “He/She” dance a few weeks ago. We told her that would be a good activity for new years. I think it has something to do with the “Me and My Guy” dance that is coming up at school. We had a fun dance party, ate our traditional appetizer dinner and then had banana splits for dessert, of course. The kids went to bed much earlier than midnight!

Our neighbors behind us had a huge drunken party and shot off huge illegal fireworks, one of which burned a hole in our trampoline. It was quite the sight to watch a fireball zipping around on there. Luckily it had rained the night before or there would have been other problems too. After quite a bit of back and forth we have been fully reimbursed for the damage by them. It was much more drawn out that it needed to be but I guess some people have a problem with personal responsibility.
The next day we went to a fun brunch at some friends’ house and that evening the boys and I went for a nice bike ride.

Chloe was happy to see them again.

Yummy food and lots of fun! How annoying with the neighbors, but glad it worked out. I need your current home address... I never got you a Christmas card this year.
