Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve here with our little family (although Sterling tells me our family is not so little now).  We had just returned home from San Diego the night before and we were all healthy and happy.  On a side note, an amazing thing was that all the kids were healthy on our San Diego trip.  I think all the adults were too, although Trevor and Cameron were a little under the weather at the beginning.  It was amazing, so many kids and not sick.

We started out the fun with lighting the traditional luminaries.  Something that our whole street does.  As you can imagine this a highlight of the evening.

Next year she will be trotting around too! Can’t imagine it.

We started a new tradition of Christmas Eve tamales.  They were tasty and not too hard to make.  Isabelle and I assembled them quickly, although there may have been a bit of burning while we were reading our Christmas story and singing in the other room.

As you can see the table was set,  shall we say,  casually.IMG_7656

Bad picture of the luminaries.

Sam opened his present from my Grandparents which was a little toy hippo that he LOVES and a nursery rhyme book.

Belle got me Minnie Mouse PJ pants.  She was so excited for me to open them.  I love them.

Of course Sterling got a lot of help opening his gift of choice.

Ha! that last picture of Chloe is so cute. She looks like Sammy there. Your tamales look delicious and so appropriate for AZ. Our neighborhood lights luminaries on Christmas eve too and it looks beautiful.
